There's a great demo on the BlockUI plugin page for jQuery of a blue layer overlaying the page, then fading out. Unfortunately, I am a complete novice at jQuery and cannot get what I need to work...
What I need is that exact effect, but loaded when the page loads (rather than on a button press), then fading out as it does now.

Need a quick working HTML example, can anyone whip one up?
