Oracle 9 database on Solaris 9 lost conection after a while

HI,
 I have Sun Fire Server V890,Solaris 9 installed and Oracle 9 database,this data base is for Point of sale transactions
Now I connect to the database from a Point of sale it is working OK,but after a round 300 to 320 tranaction the connection is lost to the server and the database,I even could noy telnet to the server but after around 1.5 to 2.5 minutes the connection is back to the server then again I could connect and do transactions from POS,but after  a while the same problem comes back.and there is no error on the server showing that the network connection was down at that time
Will someone please help me?
