Nortel Contivity VPN Client not connecting

When I try to connect to remote network via VPN,
The VPN client responds: Checking for Text banner and returns Info/error:

 Unable to contact the server. If a firewall is enabled it must be configured to allow outbound traffic on UDP Port 10001
