The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. resolve local hostname only to IP on one of the two network interfaces

This Windows Server 2003 x64 has 2 network interfaces.  Both have valid IP set up on 2 different private networks.  I need it to only resolve its name to one of the IPs, as the other one is not used for any true networking apps.  That way it would avoid confusing things like Virtual Server Web Admin.

So let's say the server name is server1 and one ip is 192.168.1.5 and the other is 10.1.1.6.  What I want is when I do "ping server1" on the server, it would always ping 192.168.1.5.  Where's the setting for specifying that?Start Free Trial
